Hello!
My name is Kendall and I am the artist behind the food earring you have all hopefully gotten to see by now! I would like to share a little about myself and how this whole food themed business came about.
A few thing that I find myself doing in the wonderful mountains of Montana that I have called home since 2016. I am an avid enjoyer of the winter sports; snowboarding both downhill and backcountry to skate and track skiing. In the warmer seasons I tend to Bike or roller blade the streets and cool off by swimming or floating Missoula's rivers. Outside of the activities I am an artist attending the University of Montana. There I am studying printmaking with the ambition to illustrate.
How WW Came to be
As I'm sure many of you can tell, I am a very crafty person. I have always loved exploring different mediums and craft ideas. From painting marbles to rainbow loom bracelets, the one craft that stuck with me all the way through my childhood was working with polymer clay. As a child I was obsessed with miniatures and small toys. I found myself with a growing collection of Calico Critters and Woodsies. Along side this obsession I found myself often frothing at the mouth in the jewelry section of Justice at the mall. Drooling over their food earrings was one of the first bits of inspiration. Soon I was making little polymer clay hamburgers and cupcakes for all of my friends in middle school. At the time they consisted of blob like colorful formations that took a crude liking to their defined subjects. Nonetheless, I continued to practice and improve while watching how other polymer artists used certain techniques. And after 12+ years of trial and error I am at the level I have achieved today with plans to continue building skill and improving.
